Wow! What a busy but amazing weekend!
Easter is easily one of my favorite holidays (well… I love EVERY holiday) because it is so meaningful and fun. I went back home to Nashville on Thursday night and didn’t get home until about 11 at night (driving through rain is never fun).
Despite the rain, on Friday, my mom, sister, and I went downtown to the Gulch where there are many cute little shops. We went to Jessie James Decker’s store “Kittenish.” It is the cutest little store. I could’ve spent much longer in there. We then tried to walk a few streets down to Uncommon James which is Kristin Cavallari’s store but unfortunately it was closed since it was Good Friday. From what I could see by peeking into the window, the items in the store looked so cute and I definitely could’ve done some damage in that store.
On Saturday, me and my mom did some slight shopping. We spent an hour and a half at (I am not even joking) TJ Maxx. That store really knows how to suck you in. We then to target for our 2nd time which is probably my favorite place! For lunch we took a little pit stop at Dos Margaritas which is a local Mexican restaurant. Lucky for us, they had a 2 for 1 happy hour on their margaritas (Woohoo)! We ended the evening at my grandparents house where we picked up my grandmothers hot cross buns. It is a tradition that every Easter my Nana makes them and we eat them Easter morning before church.
Fast forward to Easter! It was such a BEAUTIFUL day! The rain (which started on Thursday night until Saturday evening) had moved out and we were blessed blue skies and sunshine! I think Jesus was giving us a little miracle for the pretty weather on his special day;) My mom still gives me and my sister small Easter baskets and we drank some coffee and ate our hot cross buns. My parents and myself went to church bright and early and then headed over to my grandmothers house for some nice family time.
I hope everyone had a blessed and hoppy Easter:)
