CMA Festival 2019

One of my favorite times of the year; the CMA Festival! I swear, the whole vibe in Nashville changes when this week rolls around.

I have been attending the CMA Fest since 2014 so going on 5 years now. I was actually able to work the CMA Fest for 2 years which was awesome because I was able to watch the entire concert and get paid for it. (WHATTT?!) I worked in the “photo booth” line so I was able to stand near the front of the stage and watch😊

The CMA Festival kicks off on Wednesday night with the CMT Awards but the real party starts on Thursday and ends on Sunday. There are free activities and concerts downtown during the day but the main concert is at night, at the Titans stadium.

I wasn’t planning on going this year because I never got around to buying tickets. On the Wednesday before the concert, Jacob surprised me with tickets to the concert😍 I was very surprised that he was able to pull it off!

We decided to not go every night because unfortunately, the weather was crappy and Jacob had to be at work every day. So we only went on Thursday and Saturday. He gave my mom the tickets for Friday night but due to the downpouring rain that night, she opted not to go (can’t blame her).

On Thursday, me and Jacob headed downtown around 4 so that we could get there before traffic got worse. The concert didn’t start until 7:30 so we had plenty of time. We packed a cooler and parked in a parking garage so that we would be covered from the rain and had a nice little tailgate.

By the way, if you are in need of a cooler, I highly HIGHLY recommend the RTIC coolers. We have bought several different RTIC coolers and we are never let down. They are a much better price than yeti coolers and do the exact same thing. I will attach their website HERE in case you want to check them out!

My outfit was very simple which you know I love. I wore a denim skort and a white tank top. Yes a skort.. they have made a come back! I actually found this skort when my mom and I were cleaning out her closet. She has had that skort for sooooo many years and I am so glad she didn’t toss it out! I had to sew it a tiny bit to make it work but I am so glad it did! I paired it with black sandals and of course gold jewelry.

Nothing like a little selfie 🙂

On Thursday night the line up was Kane Brown, Kelsea Ballerini, Brothers Osborne, Rascall Flatts, and Florida Georgia Line.

I was fully prepared for the rain. Brought my rain jacket and all. But of course.. left it in the car. Right as we walked into the gates of the stadium, it started to down pour. Luckily are seats were in the club level so we were able to stand inside for a little bit. When we got to our seats, one of the security workers told us that we could move to a covered area so we were VERY pumped about that since neither one of us had a poncho or a rain coat…

On Saturday night the line up was good yet again. I don’t think there is ever a bad lineup because all of the artists are so good. The line up for Saturday was Billy Ray, Brett Young, Miranda Lambert, Luke Combs, Dierks Bentley, and Tim McGraw.

For Billy Ray’s set he brought our Lil Nas X and they played Old Town Road😂

Overall, it was a great weekend and sooo much fun! If you ever get the chance to come to Nashville for the CMA Festival I highly recommend it.
